Leesburg Chapter #57,
Order of the Eastern Star
Roberta Naylor, Henryetta Curtin, and Raymona Bogardus recently received special membership pins at the 117th Inspection of Leesburg Chapter #57, Order of the Eastern Star.
It was indeed a family affair, as Roberta’s sister, Diana McKay, presented a 50-year pin to her at the Holy Altar of the chapter.
Sisters Henryetta and Raymona were introduced together, as Henryetta’s daughter, Josu Lewis, gave her mother her 60-year pin, and Raymona’s son, Quentin Dusseau, awarded her with her 65-year pin.
Raymona’s husband, William Bogardus, was also in attendance.
All are members of Leesburg Chapter #57 OES, as were the parents of the honorees, Floyd and Helen Woodmansee for Roberta and Diana, and H.G. and Winona Guthrie for Raymona and Henryetta.
Following the pin presentations, the officers of Leesburg Chapter #57 beautifully performed their ritualistic work for the Inspecting Officer, District 21 Deputy Grand Matron Imojean Steinbuch and 70 guests.
Leesburg #57 is the oldest chapter in District 21 and one of the oldest chapters in the state of Ohio.
