Thousands attend ‘Shakespeare On Sugarloaf’

Nearly 2,000 people took part in two shows during the 2016 Shakespeare On Sugarloaf programs this summer at the Sugarloaf Mountain Amphitheater.

Additionally, the Ross Chillicothe Public Library hosted the second annual “Sack It With Shakespeare” lunchtime discussion.  Now in its second year, the program was started to provide free access to live Shakespeare performances to the people of southeastern Ohio by The Scioto Society, Inc. 

Shakespeare On Sugarloaf will return in 2017 with productions of “Hamlet” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

About "Tecumseh!" - First staged in 1973, "Tecumseh!" (a 501-c3 non-profit) is one of the nation’s top outdoor dramas. Written by Pulitzer Prize nominee Allan W. Eckert, the 44th anniversary season plays June 10 through Sept. 3, 2016 at The Sugarloaf Mountain Amphitheatre, near Chillicothe.
