The Community Action Committee of Pike County (CAC) is proud to announce the return of its highly anticipated annual fundraiser, “A Taste of Pike County,” scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 25 at the Pike County Senior Center.

This year’s theme is “Putting on the Ritz,” a 1920s-inspired evening of food, fun and philanthropy. The event kicks off at 6 p.m., inviting attendees to dress in vintage glamour and rally in support of critical services for local older adults.

The event will transform the Pike County Senior Center (402 Clough Street, Waverly) into a speakeasy-style venue and feature a variety of engaging and entertaining activities, including:

• Celebrity Chef Competition: Local community leaders will prepare signature hors d’oeuvres for attendees to sample and vote for their favorite dish, with one chef earning the coveted “Top Chef” title.

• Auction: Guests can bid on an array of exclusive items and experiences generously donated by area businesses, artisans and community members.

• Mission in Motion Presentation: A special segment will highlight the Senior Center’s role in providing meals, transportation, wellness programs and meaningful social connections to Pike County seniors.

“This event is more than a night of entertainment — it’s a chance for the community to come together and show our seniors that they are valued and supported,” said Karla Lindsey, Director of Senior and Transit Programs. “Every ticket purchased and every dollar donated goes directly toward programs that help older adults live with dignity, health, and independence.”
