St. Vincent dePaul Society outreach sessions

The St. Vincent dePaul Society of St. Mary Catholic Church in Hillsboro will be conducting two outreach sessions in the month of February. SVdP volunteers will be available to meet with those in need of assistance on Saturday, Feb.  8 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and on Wednesday, Feb. 26 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the St. Mary Parish Hall at 119 E. Walnut St. in Hillsboro.

Persons seeking help should bring ID and documentation of need (copies of bills and verification of income). Be aware that SVdP can only provide assistance once in a year.  

The local charity is also seeking storage space in Hillsboro in order to store used furniture, appliances and household items. SVdp frequently gets offers for donation of these items, but currently they have no place to store them. They are seeking storage space that is clean, dry and secure. It must be rodent-proof and accessible to their volunteers. A minimum of 200 square feet is needed.
