Rise & Shine!
Highland County Senior Center will be open for breakfast on Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:30-9:30 a.m. starting Oct. 7. In addition to breakfast specials, we will have an a la carte menu featuring such items as biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs, bacon, toast, waffles, pancakes and of course coffee and juice. Watch this column for more information in the next few weeks.
Membership update
In an effort to simplify our bookkeeping, our membership year will now correspond with the calendar year, which means dues will be due on Jan. 1, 2010. Dues for regular members are $20 per year. Those of you who are used to paying your dues in October will get three extra months to renew. Members who wish to pay ahead and new members who join now will be paid through Dec. 31, 2010. The Senior Center receives no city, county, state or federal funds and relies on membership dues, donations and fund raising events to keep our doors open. Please help us to serve the community by supporting your center.[[In-content Ad]]
