Senior Center plans spring events

A 1950’s Night at Highland County Senior Citizens Center will be held Saturday, March 29 from 5-9 p.m. The event will feature DJ Rockin’ Ron, decade trivia game, dinner/dessert, dance, prizes and all kinds of music from the 1950s included in the admission price of $10. Tickets are on sale now at the center. At-door ticket sales will be offered if available. The menu will include burgers, fries, onion rings, ice cream sundaes and root beer floats. The community is welcome.
The Highland County Senior Citizens Center is hosting a US Food Show on Friday, April 4 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. featuring new delicious foods for all you can eat at the admission price of $4. All proceeds go to the senior center. The community is welcome.
A Pancake Extravaganza with the Easter Bunny and Rubber Duck Race will be held at the Highland County Senior Citizens Center Saturday, April 5 from 9 a.m. to noon. The menu includes scrambled eggs, sausage and various flavors of pancake and toppings, including a new feature, a red velvet pancake with cream cheese topping. There will be a giant indoor Easter egg hunt for all children age divisions, color Easter eggs and one 4x6 photo with the Easter Bunny included. Guests can dance the bunny hop and chicken dance with the life-sized Easter bunny and Easter chick. Admission is $5 for children and adults, and admission for children 2 and under is $3. Homemade Easter candy made on-site by the Senior Center Food Committee will be sold at the event.
