Senior Center hosts Cookies with Characters Oct. 10

Cookies with Characters, a new fundraising event at the Highland County Senior Citizens Center, will be Saturday, Oct. 10 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

If you like Disney princesses, super heroes and other popular characters, you’ll love this event. Tickets are on sale now at the center and are $5, children under 23 months of age are $3. Lunch, games, door prizes, decorate cookies and more included.

Kids’ menu: chicken nuggets, fries, fruit and drink. Adult menu: pulled pork, coleslaw, chip and drink. Professional family portraits will also be available, by Timeless Treasures, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and are an additional $15.00. The photo package includes: (3) 4X6’s, (2) 5X7’s and (1) 8X10. All proceeds benefit senior center.
