On Tuesday, Sept. 6, Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose visited the Highland County Fair to participate in its 75th anniversary celebration.

Among other things, LaRose visited the new 4-H barn to talk with local exhibitors and presented Fair Board President Mark Baldwin with a proclamation from the State of Ohio congratulating Highland County for its continued operations and success.

“As Ohio’s 51st Secretary of State, I am pleased to extend a warm welcome to all those attending the 2022 Highland County Fair,” LaRose’s proclamation reads. “County fairs provide an opportunity for local residents to experience the best their communities have to offer. From agriculture and entertainment to local food and friendly competition, there is no shortage of things to do, see and explore.

“I commend the vendors and supporters of the Highland County Fair for your commitment to ensuring its success. Additionally, I extend my gratitude to the staff and volunteers who have worked hard to prepare for this year’s fair.

“Best wishes for another memorable Highland County Fair.”
