Scouts, volunteers begin camp cleanup project

Boy Scout Troop 171 will be 100 years old in 2016. The Scouts of Troops 171 and 226 have started working on the five-acre camp on Greystone Drive to get it ready for the celebration.

To help with the project, the Hillsboro Lions Club has set up a BO-WA-GE Improvement Fund. To donate send check to the Hillsboro Lions Club, P.O. Box 711, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.

The Lions Club is the chartering organization for Troop 171

Adult volunteers include: Roger Hottinger, Jerry McGuire, Barry Stratton and Sarah Albert.

Scout participants in the weekend cleanup included: Ryan Heizer, William Albert, Ryan Hornschemeier, Joel Griggs, Jared Conn, Dylan Coleman, Justin Conn and Brayden Grooms.

Volunteers also included: Micah Pinney, Pam and Dave Pinney, Dan and Sarah Albert, Jarod Heizer and Jim Coleman.
