Rumpke hosts open house in Brown County
GEORGETOWN – More than 130 neighbors attended the open house at Rumpke Waste and Recycling’s Brown County Landfill on October 11.
While at the site, guests enjoyed landfill tours, free food and ice cream, and giveaways.
“Rumpke is always glad to open its facilities to the public. We want people see and understand the work we do here and letting people tour our operations and ask questions is a great way to do that,” says Rick Klonowski, “This event is one way that Rumpke can express just how much we appreciate being part of the Georgetown community.”
Every year, Rumpke hosts open houses at various owned and operated sites within its service area. At the Brown County event, we included local law enforcement, first responders and construction equipment companies to showcase their equipment in addition to Rumpke vehicles. We also have representatives from Adams-Brown Recycling so people can learn about recycling and other sustainability efforts.
