‘Rod Stewart Illusion’ concert coming to Highland County Senior Center Aug. 20

The Highland County Senior Citizens Center will host Patrick Julian for a special concert, “The Rod Stewart Illusion,” on Saturday, Aug. 20, with all proceeds benefiting the senior center.

Doors will open at 6 p.m.

Prior to the concert, a special Longhorn Steakhouse dinner menu will be offered, including hand-breaded chicken tenders, macaroni and cheese, salad and warm loaf bread. For dessert, there will be a chocolate fountain with strawberries, marshmallows and more to dip.

Following dinner, Julian will performing, with the concert expected to be about 90 minutes long with an intermission.



Senior center executive director Mechell Frost said that throughout the concert, Julian will sing songs from throughout Stewart’s career.

“He’s a great performer,” Frost said. “He sounds and performs like Rod Stewart, so he puts on a good show.”

Tickets are $15 in advance or can be purchased while supplies last at the door for $18. Tickets include the concert and dinner. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Senior Center or at any Hillsboro Merchants National Bank Location. To order tickets, you can also call (937) 393-4745 during the day or (937) 763-1904 after hours.

The community is encouraged to attend.

“It’s not every day you get the opportunity to see a show like this,” Frost said. “Patrick Julian does an excellent job of portraying Rod Stewart with his voice, performance and style on stage. This will be a great event.”

The concert’s sponsors include: Merchants National Bank, VFW Post 9094, Lesia Langston-McKenna DMD, Adena Health System, State Farm Agent Amatha Farrens, EAST Ambulance, Donald E. Fender Inc. and Longhorn Steakhouse of Chillicothe.
