Premier Showmen play games, enjoy demonstrations at July meeting

The Premier Showmen 4-H Club held a meeting on Sunday, July 11 at the 4-H food booth. The meeting was called to order by the president, Abby Dhume, at 7 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Wyatt Osborn, and the 4-H Pledge was led by Connor Case. The secretary’s report was given by Haley Hamilton.

The members participated in two leadership games. For the first game, the members had to move a cookie from their forehead to their mouth without using their hands.

Then, for the second game, the members played the cheese ball toss. In this game, one member threw cheese balls onto the head of the member across from them, who had shaving cream on their head.

Three members gave their demonstrations. Shannon Combs did his demonstration on homemade hovercrafts. Luke Dhume did his demonstration of how to make a stress ball. Abby Dhume gave her demonstration on how to make a fairy jar.

In new business, the members voted to purchase fair passes for each club member. The motion was moved by Combs and seconded by Luke Dhume.

Several dates were given regarding 4-H judging, state fair and county fair. Club T-shirt designs were discussed. Brayden Cummings brought T-shirt designs, which were voted on at the end of the meeting. Order forms will be sent via email.

For species work, the members went over medicine labels and injection sites. At this time, the Cloverbuds were dismissed for their activity, which was making homemade ice cream.

The motion to adjourn was moved by Combs and seconded by Case. The next meeting will be held Sunday, Aug. 8 at 7 p.m.
