The Premier Showmen 4-H club held their last meeting for the year on Sunday, Aug. 28 at the home of Dawson, Wyatt and Blake Osborn.

The meeting was called to order by the president, Wyatt Osborn, at 6 p.m.

At the beginning of the meeting, members participated in a leadership game of crowd surfing, led by Dawson Osborn. In order to play this game, the club members split into groups of two, and each team lay down on the ground head-to-head with their partner and shoulder-to-shoulder with the team next to them.

When the people were lined up, Dawson passed Cloverbud Dwight Hamilton, to the first group and the line passed him to the end of the line. The Cloverbud was not dropped.

Following the leadership game, a club picture was taken.

After that, the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Brayden Cummings, and the 4-H pledge was led by Mason Warnock. Then, the officers gave their officer reports.

Next, Abby Dhume gave a demonstration on how to dye a mug with nail polish. As soon as Dhume was done with her demonstration, Lynette Hamilton went over the fair schedule. Then, the club split up into species groups and went over how to wash and fit their animals.

The meeting was finished up with new business, old business and species work. For species work, Sydney Sanders talked about sportsmanship, along with common barn and show ring courtesy. After the meeting was adjourned, Blake Osborn, recreation officer, led the club in some soccer games.

The Premier Showmen 4-H club wishes all Highland County Fair exhibitors good luck.
