On Saturday, April 18, members of the Premier Showmen 4-H Club gathered at Hillsboro Christian Academy for an educational and engaging leadership workshop. The event focused on helping members better understand the structure of 4-H clubs and the many leadership opportunities available within the organization.
During the session, participants learned about the responsibilities and expectations of various club officer positions, including president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and reporter. Each role was discussed in detail, giving members a clearer understanding of how these positions contribute to the overall success of the club.
Advisers and presenters also emphasized the importance of communication, organization, and teamwork in effective leadership.
In addition to learning about officer roles, members took part in activities designed to build confidence and strengthen leadership skills. These activities encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, and active participation, allowing members to apply what they learned in a hands-on environment.
The workshop provided a valuable opportunity for both new and experienced members to grow as leaders and become more involved in their club. By gaining a deeper understanding of leadership roles, participants are better prepared to take on responsibilities and contribute positively to their community.
The Premier Showmen 4-H Club continues to offer opportunities like this to help members develop important life skills, including leadership, responsibility and public speaking.
