Premier Showmen 4-H members, Cloverbuds give demonstrations at recent meeting

The Premier Showmen 4-H Club held their seventh meeting of the year Sunday, June 12 at the 4-H food booth.
The meeting was called to order by the President, Wyatt Osborn, at 7 p.m.
At the beginning of the meeting, members participated in a leadership game led by Dawson Osborn. In order to play this game, the club members split into two groups, and each team was given paper cups, popsicle sticks, rubber bands and tape. Each team was to tasked with building the “best” tower they could in five minutes using the supplies they were given.
After the five minutes, Dawson Osborn judged the towers by asking each group why their tower was the best, then he used the opportunity to teach a lesson on doing the best you can do. When the game was over, Vice President, Sydney Sanders did roll call.
After the officer reports, eight members gave their demonstrations. Liam Frost gave his demonstration on how to make a vinegar and baking soda rocket. Next, Mason Hostetler gave his presentation on bull riding equipment. Then, Connor and Kinlee Case gave a demonstration on how to make a stress ball.
Following that, Mathias Hostetler showed the club how to hold a chicken. Then, Myles Fouch demonstrated how to cook a bagel. Next, Dawson Osborn gave some tips on public speaking. Finally, Blake Osborn gave a presentation on heifer heat pads.
Following demonstrations, new business, old business and species work were completed. During this time, the Cloverbuds practiced for their demonstration. Before the meeting adjourned, the Cloverbuds gave a group demonstration on how to make homemade ice cream.
