The Pfeifers in concert Sept. 19 for Operation Christmas Child

The Pfeifers, a well-known Gospel quartet from the area, will headline a benefit concert for Operation Christmas Child (OCC), a project of Samaritan’s Purse at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 at the Sardinia Church of Christ.
The concert is hosted by the South Central Ohio Area Team and the Church of Christ, located at 7130 Bachman Road in Sardinia. A love offering will be taken.
The Pfeifers have a family tradition of a Gospel music ministry, the third generation sharing their faith and the message of the Gospel.
They travel the country in excess of 150 days each year, lifting their faith in churches, concert halls, auditoriums and arenas. Their desire is always to show compassion to others, and continually to reach out to the lost.
Not limited to travel, the Pfeifers are in ministry in Fayette County, celebrating Bible study and worship weekly at The Gathering Place.
The South Central Ohio Area Team is a core of dedicated volunteers from Adams, Brown, Clinton, Fayette and Highland counties working year round to further the project. Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse (www.samaritanspurse.org). Promotional material and shoe boxes will be available at the event.
For more information on the event or the Shoe Box Ministry project, contact Ed or Helen Hiestand at 937-393-2790.
Operation Christmas Child, a project of international Christian relief and evangelism organization Samaritan’s Purse, headed by Franklin Graham, is the world’s largest Christmas project of its kind. Since 1993, the project has hand-delivered more than 100 million shoe box gifts to needy children in more than 130 countries.
Samaritan's Purse uses tracking technology that allows donors to "follow your box" to the destination country where it will be hand-delivered to a child in need. By clicking on “Follow Your Box” at www.samaritanspurse.org/occ, families can register their boxes and find out where in the world their boxes brought joy to children.
For more information on how to participate in Operation Christmas Child, visit www.samaritanspurse.org. National Collection Week for gift-filled shoe boxes is Nov. 12-19; however, shoe box gifts are collected all year at the Samaritan’s Purse headquarters in Boone, N.C.
