Peterson, Woodhouse to visit library

The fall season is a time for pumpkin spice, warm sweaters and harvest moons. But, at the Hillsboro library, fall also means something else: an upcoming visit by bestselling Christian fiction authors.
Tracie Peterson and Kimberley Woodhouse will be promoting their new novel "Beyond the Silence" on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. According to material provided to the library, the novel is a "historical romance with elements of suspense and mystery."
Highland County District Library Director Jennifer West described Peterson and Woodhouse as “two of the most popular inspirational fiction writers today.”
“(They) have earned a wide audience of readers,” she said. “It is a pleasure to meet them in person.”

Librarians are preparing for the visit by decorating the library in its fall best. The book signing will take place in the library's fiction room, where an artfully crafted fireplace, adorned with autumn colors, has been added.
Assistant supervisor Donna O'Dom, who is also a member of the Brush and Palette Art Guild, is responsible for the library's many decorations.
“We're honored that we will be having both authors here,” she said. “And we hope to give them a warm welcome with a homey, fall atmosphere.”
In addition to "Beyond the Silence," Peterson will also be signing "A Love Transformed," which is her most recent release in the Sapphire Brides series.
Event material added that Peterson and Woodhouse will also "greet readers (and) share about their writing process” during the book signing.
They are described in the material as "long time friends" who "speak at women's retreats and churches about joy triumphing over adversity, which is also a theme of many of their books."
Peterson is the bestselling, award-winning author of more than 100 novels, the release added. She also teaches writing workshops at conferences. She lives in Montana with her family.
Woodhouse is the author of both fiction and nonfiction works. She lives with her husband and two teenagers in Colorado Springs.
