Pete and Nancy Shaffer to celebrate 60th anniversary

Pete and Nancy Shaffer of Lynchburg will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 20 from 2-5 p.m. at the Lynchburg Fire & Ambulance Community Room located at 8123 S.R. 134 outside of Lynchburg. 

They were married on Oct. 25, 1953 at the First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Westerman.

Friends are invited to attend the open house given by their children, grandchildren, and their families. Their children are: Denise Shaffer-Kuntz of Wilmington, Colleen Mount of Lynchburg, Becky Davidson of Pricetown, and Joe Shaffer of Fish Kill, New York.
