On Wednesday, Sept. 4, between the goat and hog sale at the Highland County Fair, Highland County FFA chapters will be auctioning a John Deere model 720 pedal tractor.

In January, the pedal tractor was donated by Jeff Parry of Five Points Implement Co. and signed by guest speaker Orion Samuelson at the Chamber of Commerce event “Ag Is Everyone’s Business.” The tractor was auctioned off by Rick Williams and was purchased by The Equipment Superstore in Wilmington and donated to the five local FFA chapters in Highland County.[[In-content Ad]]

The Hillsboro, McClain, Mowrystown, Lynchburg and Fairfield FFA chapters have donated the pedal tractor to benefit the Junior Fair program.

Following the goat sale Wednesday night during the fair, the pedal tractor will be up for auction. The money generated from the sale of the pedal tractor will be used for the construction of a new Sales Committee and Junior Fair Board building.
