Peace Lutheran Church news

Peace Lutheran Church has had a great group of children and adults at their annual "Weenie Wednesday" after the free movie at Star Cinemas in Hillsboro.

Some of the families have been coming to enjoy the food and fellowship for quite a few years. It gives them a chance to visit together in the air-conditioned church while the children make simple crafts. They had face painting on the last day, and each person received a surprise small gift for their artistic talent.

There are a good number of faithful volunteers members and non-members ages 13 -80 something. These helpers are greatly appreciated and seem to enjoy serving the community.

On July 10, Peace Church is offering a Hockworth Blood Drive in their Parking lot at 321 Harry Sauner Road.

St. Paul and Peace Lutheran Churches will be helping the Thunder in the Hills with food preparations and serving to the participants and helpers of the race. On Sunday, July 28 at the East End Overlook, there will be a shared worship service at 10 a.m. They hope that  some of the boaters will attend the service.

All are welcome.
