Paxton Theatre to celebrate grand reopening
The community is invited to the Paxton Theatre (133 E. Main St., Bainbridge) on Saturday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 14 at 2:30 p.m. to celebrate its grand reopening.
Months of renovation work have gone into bringing a new luster of life to the historic building. New curtains, new lighting and a new concession area, plus so much more, await you when you attend this celebration.
Helping to celebrate the theatre's official reopening are headline performers Leona Williams and Ron Williams.
Leona Williams was destined to become a country music entertainer. She landed her first radio show at the age of 15, simply called “Leona Sings,” in Jefferson City, Mo. That journey would take her all over the world and allow her to sing before thousands and thousands of country music fans.
Ron Williams was born into an amazing family steeped in music tradition. The son of Leona, Ron has been surrounded by legends of the country music industry since childhood. Ron credits his distinct traditional country sound and love of real country music to those experiences.

Leona and Ron Williams will be joined onstage by featured performers: Gary Adams, Kenny Baum, Carol McIntosh, Mike Woo, the Paint Valley Jamboree band (Jim Bristley, Dan Cook, Don Elkins, Ken Hollycross and Dave Roberson) and guest emcee for Saturday Chubby Howard of WBZI.
At the Sunday matinee, the special guest emcee will be Shotgun Red, best known as a co-host on "Nashville Now," which aired from 1983-1993 on The Nashville Network, and "The Shotgun Red Variety Show," which currently airs on RFD-TV.
Tickets are available online for both performances for only $15. At the door, tickets are $25.
The Paint Valley Jamboree is presented by The Rockhold, Brown & Co. Bank.
