Paxton Theatre announces camp, 'Disney's Alice in Wonderland, Jr.' for grades 1-12

The Paxton Theatre is excited to announce “Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, Jr.” and the inaugural season of the Paxton Theatre Camp, happening at The Paxton Theatre in Bainbridge.
From July 6-9, directors of Disney’s “Alice in Wonderland, Jr.,” Jeff and Jenna Horick, will instruct students entering grades one through 12 on acting techniques, makeup, stage combat, costumes and acting games and explore what actors and crew members do while onstage or backstage.
The Horicks have worked many years in the theatre and have been educators at Hillsboro Elementary for nearly 20 years.
Auditions for “Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, Jr.” will be held on Friday, July 10 at 6 p.m. Lewis Carroll’s famous inquisitive heroine comes to life in this delightful adaptation of the classic Disney film. Join Alice as she chases the White Rabbit, races the Dodo Bird, gets tied up with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, raps with a bubble-blowing Caterpillar and beats the Queen of Hearts at her own game.

The camp will be held Monday through Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. All participants will receive a free Paxton Theatre Camp T-shirt upon completion of the camp and will be guaranteed at least a minor role in the summer production of “Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, Jr.”
