Through the lens of gender and aging, Taylor captures the many female artists, writers, poets, performers and art patrons of all types who helped shape the period of Modernism. Their elderly faces are a reminder of their important contributions to the arts, their longevity and the power of creativity.
Taylor is Associate Professor of Fine Art at UC Clermont College, and the ongoing series serves as a visual extension of her research into the later lives of the women of the modernist period. It is displayed for the first time at UC Clermont College during Women’s History Month.
The Park National Bank Art Gallery is located in the Snyder Building on the UC Clermont College campus in Batavia at 4200 Clermont College Drive. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. For more than 20 years, the spacious 1,000 square foot gallery has offered visual art exhibits open to UC Clermont students, faculty, staff and the general public.
