Ohioans in Space Family Day to be held at Ohio Statehouse
The Capitol Square Review and Advisory Board will host a family-friendly event Wednesday, July 24 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. to highlight the importance of Ohio’s role in space exploration.
The Ohioans in Space Family Day will take place in the Statehouse Atrium and Rotunda and is free and open to the public.
Attendees will enjoy a variety of activities:
• Interactive Learning Stations: Partake in hands-on activities with collaborations from The Works, The National Veterans Memorial Museum and the NASA Glenn Research Center’s Office of STEM Engagement.
• Special Story Times: The Columbus Metropolitan Library will host space-themed story sessions at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
• Art Talks: Explore the connection between art and space with talks at 11 a.m. noon and 1 p.m.
• Special Exhibits: Learn about space exploration through exhibits provided by the Columbus Metropolitan Library and Motts Military Museum.
