Ohio native Shane Runion to play 2019 CMA Fest

CMA Emerging Artist Shane Runion was a middle school teacher in Portsmouth, Ohio when he decided to pursue his dream of being a country music singer. Using the momentum from two consecutive Top 40 songs on the Music Row Country Breakout Charts, Runion was tapped to perform Saturday, June 8 as part of the 2019 CMA Fest in Nashville, Tenn. 

"I grew up in a working-class family living paycheck to paycheck, and it taught me something about appreciating people and working hard," Runion said. "It's a huge honor to play CMA Fest this year."

With over 600,000 online views of his debut single, "Tattoos," the single has climbed the country radio charts, becoming a nationwide Top 30 hit. His second radio single, "Love You That Much," is climbing the charts and reached Top 40 within 6 weeks. His music is a blend of catchy hooks paired with his raspy vocals.
