New look, same mission: Pike County’s Workforce & Business Development Program introduces new logo

The Workforce & Business Development (W&B) Program at the Community Action Committee of Pike County (CAC) is pleased to announce the development of a new logo.
The W&B Program officially began using the new logo in November 2022 on advertising and outreach materials, with the first step being the launch on its social media profiles and website.
“I am so excited to see our program logo has been given a new, updated look,” stated Lisa Pfeifer, Director of the Workforce & Business Development Program. “Our previous logo still has a special place in our hearts; however, this new logo shares the same feeling as CAC’s which we are proud to incorporate in our new artwork. And, even though our logo has a new look, our mission is still the same: we’re here to provide the resources and support needed to job seekers and businesses in our area.”
The new artwork continues the imagery of the large arrow of the previous logo, with the new logo’s semicircle arrow representing the change that can happen for local job seekers, clients and businesses in need of the guidance and support available within the program. The large point of the arrow indicates the vast success that can be achieved for clients when working with the staff members of the Program.
The new logo builds a clearer connection between the CAC and the previous W&B logos, visually merging the resources for higher community awareness.
“I’m very excited to see how the community responds to the new logo for the Workforce & Business Development Program,” stated Keith Pitts, Executive Director of the Community Action Committee of Pike County. “This new design captures the essence of the agency’s spirit while maintaining the Program’s individuality within the CAC Family. We want those in the community who need the services of the Program to see this image and know that they are going to receive the support and resources needed to achieve success.”
The Workforce & Business Development Program (W&B) provides all services under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), as well as provides business development services. In addition to overseeing the WIOA and Special Grant Programs that assist eligible Pike County Adults and Youth facing serious barriers to employment, the W&B also offers free income tax preparation and financial literacy classes. Some of the W&B Services include Career Readiness Workshops, Computer Classes, Occupational Classroom Training, On-the-Job Training, Apprenticeships, and Work Experience. The OhioMeansJobs (OMJ) Career Center of Pike County is located within the W&B office and offers free resources for job search, career planning and résumé development.
