CHILLICOTHE – Employers across a 10-county area of south central and southern Ohio now have access to a new, competitively priced, customized health network for their employees providing high-quality, comprehensive care close to home at a lower cost.
The new High-Performance Health Network, a partnership between Adena Health and The Ohio State University Health Plan Solutions, is a health network providing access to quality primary care and advance specialty providers who deliver seamless care to network participants.
The network provides access to more than 400 primary care and specialty providers across 40-plus locations within Adena Health, as well as advanced care providers from The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and supplemental care from several other regional primary care and specialty practices, including Nationwide Children’s Hospital. All told, that equates to access to more than 2,000 providers at more than 128 locations.
Besides access to a comprehensive network of health care providers, other benefits employers will realize through this new plan option include:
• Customized health plan solutions. Through the availability of multiple vendors and administrators, each employer has the flexibility to create the best plan for their employees and their organizational needs and budgets.
• Coordinated patient care. Because the organizations involved in the network share the same electronic medical record system, patient movement between physicians and hospitals for care is more efficient and referrals are more streamlined, providing a better overall patient experience.
• Local client support service. The client support team operates out of south central Ohio, so it understands the local health care landscape and can provide personalized guidance for employer teams and their employees in managing their health care plan.
• The ability to control costs. Plans also help connect patients with in-network providers, reducing the costs associated with out-of-network advanced or specialty care. The network offers both self-funded and level-funded health plan options for employers to help keep those costs affordable for employers and employees.
“Adena Health has a long-standing commitment to ensuring access to comprehensive health care in the communities we serve,” said Jim McManus, Adena Health’s chief financial officer. “That commitment is evident through partnerships like the High-Performance Health Network, which will provide employers and their employees a cost-effective option for streamlined access and continuity of care from primary to advanced specialty care.”
The High-Performance Health Network serves Fayette, Franklin, Highland, Hocking, Jackson, Pickaway, Pike, Ross, Scioto and Vinton counties.
