NCB gives to Highland County Community Action

NCB recently donated $2,500 to Highland County Community Action. The money will be used for the Senior Nutrition Program.

This program provides home-delivered meals each weekday throughout Highland County to over 110 seniors. There are an additional 40 seniors on a waiting list for the program. Not only does this program provide a nutritional meal once per day, the provision of a meal enables many seniors to be able to remain independent within their home in lieu of having to move to a Nursing Home.

In addition, the delivering of a meal provides a health check to assure the resident is well.
