NCB donates $2,500 to Highland County Dog Pound Volunteer Program

NCB has donated $2,500 to the Highland County Dog Pound Volunteer Program.

The volunteer group provides vaccinations, worm medicine, emergency vet treatments, gas assistance for transporting dogs to rescue groups, leashes and collars to walk and send to rescue, and food for dogs taken into a volunteer's home.

During the 2013 calendar year, 536 dogs and puppies were turned in to the pound. Of that number, 66 were claimed by owners and 428 were rescued or adopted. This represents a 92% saved rate.

"We are happy to support this program within our community and its dedicated volunteers," stated Deb Jones, NCB Ohio Co-President.
