Naylors to celebrate 60th wedding anniversary
Lloyd R. Naylor and Elizabeth Ann Gray were married March 26, 1955 at Concord United Methodist Church in Englewood, Ohio. The weather presented them with blizzard conditions, but in spite of this, many friends and family members were able to make the trip to Dayton for their wedding.
After they were married, Lloyd and his father built a house on the family farm in Mowrystown, where the couple still resides.
The Naylors have been blessed with two children, Debbie Purvis (Keith) Heaton and Rob Naylor. Their grandchildren include Michael Purvis, Jason (April) Purvis, Beth (Michael) Page and Carrie (Nathan) Swisshelm. They are always ready to brag about their nine great-grandchildren, who include Bri, Clay, Madison, Makenna, Christine, Clara, Chloe, Cullen and Kasey. They also have two step-great-granddaughters, Reagan and Kennedy.

Betty manages their calendar of events, which tends to be full. They belong to the Russellville Chapter of The Eastern Star, and Lloyd belongs to the Sardinia Masonic Lodge, where he serves as secretary. Lloyd began playing trombone at Whiteoak High School and quickly joined his father playing with the Liberty Band from Adams County, where has been a member for over 60 years. Lloyd also plays with the Southern State Community Band in Hillsboro. They attend the Mowrystown Church of Christ, where Lloyd serves as an elder.
Their family will host a reception April 12 from 2-5 p.m. at the Mowrystown Church of Christ Community Building. The Liberty Band will bless the event with beautiful music from 3-4 p.m. All are invited to share this exciting celebration with Lloyd and Betty. They request no gifts, but only your presence and memories to share, as well as new memories to make on this day.
