Once again the Hillsboro Public Library's "Merry Money" reading program was a busy and exciting time!
Thanks go to the Highland County Alternative School students for setting up tables and allowing us to use their space and parking lot for the first day of the store.
Thanks also to the students who served as "cashiers": Raven Buckmaster, Christopher Butler, Aric Carroll, Justin Chambliss, Abby Cornele, Sabrina Fawley, Mallori Ferguson, Christian Gunderman, Jessica Holt, Elizabeth House, Ben Rhoads, Shelby Robinson, Tiffany Satterfield, Tiffany Shelton, Haley Washington, and Jennifer Willey.
The "Merry Money " reading program encourages children from age 3 to grade 6 to earn "Merry Money" for every 30 minutes that they read and record in their logs.  They can redeem this "money" in the Library's Christmas Shop to buy gifts for their family and friends.  Watch for details next fall for "Merry Money 2010"!
