Merchants National Bank donated $500 toward the Hillsboro Public Library’s 2023 summer reading program.

The check was presented Friday, Feb. 17 to Circulation Manager Sarah Davidson by Denise Fauber, Chief Operations Officer, Vice President Branch Ops/Director of Human Resources and Retail Lending; Jacob DeHart, Vice President, Chief Financial Officer; and Bertha Hamilton, Corporate Secretary.

Donations such as this help the library to offer enrichment, education and entertainment to the community for free. This year’s Summer Reading theme is “Imagine Your Story.”

Each year, the summer program aims to have activities for kids, tweens, teens and adults. According to the library, this donation will go toward programming such as live animals, all-ages crafts and more.

The Hillsboro Library is located at 10 Willettsville Pike. The summer reading program starts June 1.
