Forty-one classmates of McClain High School, 1959, gathered June 14, 2014, at the Greenfield Grain and Hay building to celebrate the 55th year reunion.
The festivities began with a tour of our alma mater, led by Cathy Rivas, to view the recently refurbished statuary. The monies for repairs came from contributions made to the McClain Alumni Association and from the Greenfield Board of Education.
Following the tour classmates shared their memorabilia and photo albums from over the years.
Bound volumes of old Greenfield Daily Times newspapers were viewed as were curios in several antique Waddell Company showcases.
Thirty-three deceased classmates were remembered.
The purple-and-gold theme prevailed as members of the Greenfield Historical Society, who hosted the event, served dinner to 41 MHS classmates and their 25 guests.
Visiting, keepsake memory booklet and 1950s music rounded out the evening.
McClain High School will celebrate its 100th year in 2015. There will be a three-day All Class Reunion. On Friday, Sept. 4, there will be a meet and greet and home football game. On Saturday, Sept. 5, there will be a general gathering of all Alumni during the day with a dinner and dance in the evening. On Sunday, Sept. 6, there will be a re-dedication ceremony.

Also of interest to MHS Alumni is the Facebook group called Greenfield Ohio Friends Forever (GOFF). One must have a Facebook account and request permission to join the group.
The 60th year reunion of MHS '59 will be held Father's Day weekend in 2019.
