Marchella Nicole Tarr was presented during the Ohio Society Daughters of the American Revolution 112th Conference in Columbus.
Miss Tarr was the reorganizing president of the Waw-Wil-A-Way Society Children of the American Revolution. She holds dual C.A.R./DAR membership and is a junior member of the Waw-Wil-A-Way Chapter. She has served OSDAR for three years as a junior page and served as a page and delegate during this conference.
Tarr is a post secondary enrollment option student at Lynchburg-Clay High School. She will graduate this spring from Sinclair Community College with an associate’s degree in liberal arts with an emphasis in sociology. She plans to attend the Ohio State University in the fall and major in political science.
She is a member of the National Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, National Leadership Society, and Academic Team and is the Chief of Staff for the Junior States of America, Head Lawyer for Mock Trial, Captain for Destination Imagination, Past President of Junior American Citizens Buckley Eaglets, a Junior Girl Scout leader, and a Special Olympics volunteer. She has been on the Dean’s List for two years and is the winner of “What Does Democracy Mean to Me.”
Miss Tarr is the daughter of Mr. Richard R. Tarr and Mrs. Tamekia Schatzmann. She is the granddaughter of N. Charleene Tarr, vice regent of the Waw-Wil-A-Way Chapter, and the great-granddaughter of the late Rose Marie Wilkin, also a member of the Waw-Wil-A-Way Chapter.
