After a break of one year, which was necessary for family obligations, Dave and Janny Brizius, the producers of Magic Waters Summer Theatre, are pleased to announce that this summer Magic Waters will come to life again with live theatre under the stars at their rustic amphitheater on Cave Road near Bainbridge.

The three plays for this summer will include two original (premier) productions and one children’s classic.

Opening the season on June 7 and then also playing June 8, 9, 14, 15 and 16, will be “Return to Our House,” by Jean Lowe of the Magic Waters troupe.

Jean has written several plays through the years for Magic Waters, and the audience has affectionately dubbed them “Jean’s Mamma’s Shows.”

Indeed, this is one of the Mamma shows, actually the third in a trilogy. It is a comedy/drama, continuing on with the lives of folks the audience has met in previous visits to “Our House.” However, it stands completely on its own, and it is not necessary at all to have seen the first two to fully appreciate the story line of “Return to Our House.”

Next at Magic Waters, will be “Maggie’s Mischievous Visit Back to Magic Land” by Janny Brizius.

A child’s fantasy, once she gets to Magic Land, Maggie learns lots of the history of Cave Holler, (much more so than in the previous “Maggie in Magic Land,” which was presented two summers ago at Magic Waters.) This play also incorporates a talent show and a magic show as part of the plot. It will be enjoyed by folks of all ages.

The Maggie show will play June 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, and 30.

Last of the 2013 summer productions will be the all-time favorite children’s classic “Charlotte’s Web” by E.B.White.

The show will be directed by Becca Wise who also will reprise her remarkable role as Charlotte.

"Charlotte’s Web" will play July 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, and 28.

Friday and Saturday shows begin at 8 p.m. and Sunday shows start at 7 p.m., but there is a full hour of pre-show magic before each show by Boonie the Magician, and folks who have ordered pre-show meals will enjoy them one hour pre-show also.

Ticket prices for all shows are: adult $7, children $3.50, and senior citizens $4.

Pre-show dinners cost $6.95, plus tax and must be ordered at least one day in advance (one week in advance for a large group.)
