Mackenzie Bart crowned 2014 Miss Ohio

Miss Montgomery County Mackenzie Bart was crowned Miss Ohio 2014 Saturday, June 21 at the Renaissance Theatre in Mansfield.

The Miss Ohio Scholarship Program is a not-for-profit organization that has a long history of empowering young women to achieve their personal and professional goals, while providing a forum for them to express their intelligence, opinions, talents and dedication to community service. Contestants must be well-rounded and compete in interview, talent, evening gown and swimsuit competitions, according to missohio.org.

Miss Bart, 22, is a senior at Ohio State University.

She will advance to compete in the Miss America pageant.

The Miss Ohio program provides opportunities for young women to win financial assistance in the form of scholarship awards, thereby helping achieve their education goals. By encouraging the spirit of volunteerism, and creating and maintaining a system of competition, contestants receive opportunities and experience which enhances them as role models, representing positive American values.
