Lynchburg Cub Scouts hold Pinewood Derby

The Lynchburg Cub Scout Pack 6120 held their annual Pinewood Derby on Saturday, Jan. 4 at the Lynchburg Clay Elementary School.

The boys built and decorated their own cars which weighed no more than 5 ounces from an official Pinewood Derby kit.

The boys competed against members of their own den and then the 1st place den winners competed against each other for overall prizes.

Winners of each den are as follows: Tiger Zaden Hawk, Wolf Landen Kohus, Bear Sam Hamilton, Webelos I Daniel Bauer, and Webelos II Logan Throckmorten. When these first place den winners competed against each other, Logan Throckmorten of the Webelos II won first place overall.

Second place was won by Bear Sam Hamilton, third place by Tiger Zaden Hawk, fourth place by Wolf Landen Kohus, and fifth place overall by Webelos I Daniel Bauer. These boys all received trophies for their efforts.
