Lowell and Carolyn Chambers to celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

On June 5, Lowell and Carolyn Chambers will celebrate 50 years of marriage.

Lowell is one of nine children, the son of Orlando and Grace Chambers from the Folsom area. Carolyn is one of 12 children, the daughter of Edith and Harry McCullough from Washington, Pa. They were married in Berea, Ky. at Carolyn’s college chapel in a double wedding, along with Lowell’s sister Pat and her husband Paul Leach.

Lowell has been a realtor and auctioneer in Hillsboro for over 50 years, and Carolyn taught elementary students in Hillsboro City Schools for over 30 years until her retirement when she started helping in Lowell’s real estate office.

Both Lowell and Carolyn work together on their large beef cow and calf farm east of Hillsboro, where they produce over 100 high-quality calves a year. They have attended Hillsboro First United Methodist Church for many years and continue to be active members.

 

 

They have two children: a son, Lowell Winson Chambers, is a surgeon in Columbus, and daughter Tara Beery is a veterinarian in Hillsboro. They have six grandchildren.

There will be a reception with a buffet in their honor on May 30 from noon to 4 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro. All family and friends are invited to stop by to congratulate the happy couple on their many years of wedded bliss.

No gifts are necessary, but if you have any photos of Lowell and Carolyn you could bring to show, these would be most welcome.
