A total solar eclipse crossed North America on Monday, April 8, slicing a diagonal line from the southwest to the northeast, briefly sending communities in Mexico, the United States and Canada along the track into darkness.
The eclipse occurred shortly after 3 p.m. over Highland County.
North America won’t experience totality again until 2033, but only in Alaska.
