Local Cub Scouts ‘vote’ during trip to Board of Elections

Cub Scouts Pack 37 of Hillsboro, along with several local Girl Scouts, recently visited the Highland County Board of Elections office.

With 2016 being a presidential election year, the troop wanted to learn more about voting. Board of Elections administrator Steve Witham and director Debbie Craycraft took the troop members on a tour of the office and explained the voting process.

All of the Scouts were allowed to vote on the machines, where Republican nominee Donald Trump won in a landslide.

The Cub Scouts wish to thank the Board of Elections staff for their hospitality.
