Local artists, creative entrepreneurs display work at UC Clermont in ‘Creative Juice: A Group Exhibition’

The Park National Bank Art Gallery at UC Clermont College will feature the work of 21 local artists in a new show titled “Creative Juice: A Group Exhibition.” The exhibit will run May 1 through June 28, with an opening reception held Friday, May 5 from 6-8 p.m.
The innovative show will include both 2-D and 3-D pieces in a wide range of media, including acrylic, watercolor, pen and ink, fabric, photography, linocut and woodcut.

“When I look at the work in the show, I see artists who have seen things that no one else has seen before. Something about their subjects resonated with them, and each work is a glimpse into who they are. It is as if they have brought a piece of themselves into being,” said artist Vanessa Sorensen, organizer for the exhibit. “Our Creative Juice group is about being a part of a community that encourages this process, and this show displays the amazing outcome.”
Creative Juice is an informal collection of Cincinnati artists and creative entrepreneurs who meet weekly to discuss issues related to all aspects of the creative process.

The Park National Bank Art Gallery is located in the Snyder Building on the UC Clermont College campus in Batavia, Ohio, at 4200 Clermont College Drive. Summer gallery hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m.–4 p.m. For more than 20 years, the spacious 1,000 square-foot gallery has offered visual art exhibits open to UC Clermont students, faculty, staff and the general public.
UC Clermont College is located in the center of Clermont County on 91 beautiful wooded acres in Batavia Township. The college is an accredited, open-access institution offering more than 50 programs and degrees. UC East, a Clermont County expansion in the former Ford plant in Batavia Township, opened in the fall of 2010. It is home to UC Clermont's Allied Health programs.
