Lisa A. Kisling Memorial Scholarship winners announced

The Lisa A. Kisling Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Lisa A. Kisling to assist youths who have been active in Highland County 4-H, FFA or Farm Bureau.

Since 2006, $11,500 has been awarded in scholarships.

The 2013 scholarship recipients are:

• Brenna Simmons from Fairfield High School, who is attending The Ohio State University and will pursue a degree in health-related studies, pharmacy or radiology. Brenna is the daughter of Clancy and Jamie Simmons and resides in the Samantha area.

• Morgan Miller from Whiteoak High School, who is planning on attending UC Clermont and majoring in physical therapy. Morgan is the daughter of Jerry and Karen Miller and resides in the Belfast area.

• Amie Griffith from Hillsboro High School, who is attending The Ohio State University and majoring in Fashion Retail and with a minor in business. Amie is the daughter of Lori Newman and Markland Griffith.
