The Lynchburg Lions Club sponsors its annual Peace Poster Contest in the fall. The club encourages middle school students to develop a special poster on a theme related to promoting world peace. Three winners are selected, and they are given awards and cash prizes.

The top three winners and their families were invited to a special dinner at the Lions Club building to honor them. This year's dinner was held on Feb. 23.

The top three winners this year were Paige Flowers, Annalyse Warner and Aubrey McKenzie. Flowers' first-place poster was submitted to the district finals for competition at that level, where she placed third.

McKenzie and her mother and Flowers and her father were honored at the Lions Club's dinner on Feb. 23. They were joined by middle school principal Mr. Casey Smith, and they were presented special certificates in recognition of their accomplishments. They had previously been presented their cash awards.
