Leesburg Lions Club 5-K results

The Leesburg Lions Club sponsored a 5-K run and 1-mile fun walk at the Leesburg Festival on Saturday, June 15.

Pictured are the winners in the Leesburg Festival Lion’s Club-sponsored 5K run: (front, l-r) Katie Adams, second, 20-40 year-old female category; Tori Priest, first, under 20-years female; Larkin Friend, second, under 15 years; Matthew Mangus, first, under 15 years; Tara Beery, first, female 21-40; Lisa Cannon, second female 21-40; (back) Rusty Friend, second, male 21-40; John Welling, second, male over 40; Lori Welling, second, female over 40; Joe Beery, first overall with a time of 17:27); Matthew Leach, second, male 15-20; Trent Tate, second, 15-20; and Raymond Friend, first, male 20-40.

Despite having a little special cargo to push along in the Leesburg Festival race, Dr. Tara Beery captured a first place win in the category of women age 21-40.
