The Leesburg Library is “Going Green” this month in honor of St. Patrick’s Day!
Patrons of all ages can participate in a St. Patty’s Day contest from March 1 through March 16 and win a green prize. We hope you will also wear a little green and share a sweet Irish treat with us on Wednesday, March 17.
Our Knit Together group continues to grow and is now meeting every Thursday from 5:30-7 p.m. Bring whatever project you are working on and
join us for conversation and knitting. Beginners are welcome.
Dawna Jo Kiesling from the Highland County Extension Office will be here to share some recipes and nutrition tips on Monday March 8 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. and on Thursday, March 18 from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Awesome Book Club for 5th and 6th graders meets on Monday, March 8 from 4-5 p.m. This month’s book is "A Wind in the Door" by Madeleine L’Engle. Copies are available at the front desk. New readers are always welcome and afternoon snacks will be served.
Our teen book club, SPARX, will meet on Thursday, March 11 at 5:30 p.m. This month’s selection is The Lightening Thief by Rick Riordan. The group is always looking for new members, so feel free to join them for some lively discussion and pizza.
On Thursday, March 18, representatives from the Ohio Benefit Bank will be available to assist patrons with program sign-ups or to answer your
questions from 12-4 p.m. RRR, our adult reading group, will meet at 1:30 p.m. on that date, also. This month’s titles are "The Christmas List" by Richard Paul Evans or "Last Song" by Nicholas Sparks.
We have been having a lot of fun during our story times here at the Leesburg Library. This month’s themes include On Top of Spaghetti, Share a Smile Day and Pancake Day. Our story times are held on Thursdays at 10 a.m. for Wee Ones (6-36 months) and at 10:30 AM for Tater Tots (3-5 yrs). We look forward to you and your little ones joining us during the month of March. We hope to see you with our smiling Irish eyes when you visit us this month. Have a Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
