Members of the 1961 graduating class of Leesburg Fairfield High School, along with their friends, met for their June luncheon at the Crossroads Diner in Leesburg.

The class luncheon idea was created by class member Tom Campbell, who said, “At our age we need to get together, visit and reminisce with each other while we can still do so.”

Class members have found the luncheons to be very enjoyable while reminiscing about school days as well as sharing many of life’s stories. They also enjoy the visitors who stop in to visit and share in the luncheon.

Attending June’s luncheon were class member Jerry Noftsger and his wife, Cheryl, who were visiting from Tega Cay, S.C.; Carol Grimsley and Karen Trainor visiting from Columbus; John and Gwenn Noftsger visiting from Waynesville; class member Jeannie Estle and husband Tom Dowler from Chillicothe; member Judy Priest Thomas from Greenfield; Roger and Edith Grimsley of Leesburg, who stopped in to visit with the group; and Jont Morris, Ernest Hattan, Tom Campbell and Richard Edwards, who are class members from the Leesburg area.

The next luncheon is being planned for July 27 at 12:30 p.m. at the Crossroads Diner in Leesburg.
