Leap of Faith Bridal and Formal Wear celebrates grand opening with ribbon cutting

Leap of Faith Bridal and Formal Wear, located in downtown Hillsboro, celebrated their grand opening with a ribbon cutting from the Highland County Chamber of Commerce on Friday, March 10.
In attendance to help celebrate were family, friends, members of the community and Chamber Ambassadors, officers and staff. Leap of Faith Bridal and Formal Wear is owned and operated by Kit and Allen Loch and is located at 130 South High Street in Hillsboro.
Leap of Faith Bridal offers new or slightly used wedding gowns and bridesmaids dresses and other wedding-related items. The store also offers prom and homecoming dresses. All items are available for purchase or for rent. Men’s suits and tuxedos are available through Paul Morrell Formal Wear.
“The idea for my business came after I had my dream wedding in 2020, after finding my soulmate,” said Kit Loch, owner. “After the wedding, I decided to donate my dress and wedding décor to someone who needed them so they could have their dream wedding. An outpouring of support from the community led to a primarily free wedding to a deserving couple in 2021.
“When I realized how much this community wants to help other and after seeing the happiness I brought to the couple, Leap of Faith Bridal and Formal Wear was created.”

“I have so many wonderful family members and friends to thank who have supported this dream,” Loch said. “Simply Bloom, Alice Hatter, Tami Takes the Cake, Hurtts so Good DJ, HKZ Photography, Amy Buddelmeyer, Christy Sowders, Diana Rhonemus, Becky Wilkin, my models for the dresses, everyone who has donated dresses to the store and the community that has supported the business.
“Most of all, I need to thank my kids and my husband, Allen, because they have been with me every step of the way and have encouraged this dream.”
The Highland County Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit membership-driven organization that represents the business community of Highland County.
