Jeannette Knauff honored as Outstanding Senior

Jeannette Knauff has been honored as the Highland County Senior Citizens Center's 2013 Outstanding Senior.

The Outstanding Senior is voted by membership every May for Older Americans Month.

Jeannette has been a member of the Highland County Senior Citizens Center since 1983 and has helped hand-quilt approximately 175 quilts for the center. All profits of the quilt sales go to the center.

Jeannette enjoys friends, quilting and the bands at the center. She is a member of the Quilter Hall of Fame, member of the American Quilter Society and has won first place at the Athens Dairy Barn-Southern Ohio National Quilts Show in 1996. The show made a calendar of the quilts where her quilt was selected to be featured.
