Jack and Alberta Preston celebrate 65th wedding anniversary

On June 19, 1948, Joseph Jackson Preston and Alberta Stone married at the Russellville Methodist Church on Saturday at 6:31 p.m.

In their 65 years together, they had one daughter, Marilyn Kay Gross (Clifford); two grandsons, Jeffery A. Gross and Matthew B. Gross (Shyanna); and two great-grandchildren, Abigal M. Gross and Aidan J. Gross.

Joseph and Alberta, of Concord Township, are retired dairy farmers of 38 years. Joseph also served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

They said one of the most important things in a marriage is communication and to love one another.
