Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley is pleased to announce the addition of Ashley Pirtle as the new Volunteer Coordinator.

Pirtle hails from Tennessee and comes to us from Morehead, Ky., where she worked with the regional homeless shelter. Pirtle truly loves working with volunteers to help those in need. If you have been thinking of volunteering, please consider attending a training session to learn more about what Hospice volunteers do and to meet her.

Hospice of Hope volunteers graciously donate their time to help others. Volunteer activities may include companionship visits in the home, hospice care center or nursing home, sewing, clerical duties, phone calls, fundraising, yard work or gardening, baking treats for patients, reading to or sitting with a patient.

Hospice of Hope will be offering two volunteer trainings in the next few weeks. If you are interested in giving of your time or talents to help terminally ill patients and their families in our area, please make plans to attend. These sessions will provide you with more information about volunteering, but no commitment is required. The trainings will be held Tuesday, Sept. 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Mt. Orab office at 215 Hughes Blvd. or Tuesday, Oct. 1 from 2-5 p.m. in the Maysville office at 909 Kenton Station Drive.

Please RSVP by calling Pirtle at 800-928-4848 or emailing at volunteer@hohope.org.
